Alexandra Park School, Alexandra Palace, London

This was an extension to a current science block by making two additional floors.

It consisted of new electrical supplies to be bought in from the schools incoming electrical switch-room within existing ductwork and run up to the new floors where 2No. new three-phase 100amp 36way distribution boards were installed to power the new floors.

Each floor consisted of new metal containment throughout for the electrical infrastructure, fire alarms and the data installation of which we carried out all associated works.

New surface dado trunking was installed within the labs and power went to all island benches under the floor along with all new electrical supplies to all new mechanical plant etc.

New LED lighting was installed throughout with a mixture of conventional switching and PIR switched lighting. All lighting design was carried out by ourselves.

The existing fire alarm system was extended to accommodate the new areas and was designed and installed by ourselves with the schools incumbent fire alarm engineers carrying out the final links to the existing system.

All data wiring, cabinets, patching panels and final plates were installed by ourselves along with fibre optic links to the schools existing systems.
